Every possible platform has tried the genre, but no one has. even comes close to what TVF has managed to do time and time again. The gaps are so open and clear that you don't need to be an expert. Alakh Pandey is a real life person with real world problems. He hasn't lived by the episodes where one doesn't affect the other at all. Problems arise in Alakh's life and are solved in minutes, showing you the convenience the creators prioritize. There is no thread connecting things from beginning to end, just short stories.
Realism is lost at the point where people are good or bad, and Alakh doesn't have a single flaw about it. Or at least it doesn't stand out making him a more believable human being. Also who writes an entire show around one character when the remaining 6 or 7 have no life beyond the protagonist even for a minute. 6 hours and no other character has their own conflicts, dynamics or even a job beyond Alakh.
